    Criminal Defense - White Collar

We represent clients charged with white collar offenses, or who are a target, subject or witness in a criminal investigation.  Our boutique white collar practice provides a level of representation equal or superior to large law firms at a fraction of the cost.  Click the link above for more details on our white collar practice.

    Criminal Defense - Felonies

In addition to our white collar practice, we represent clients charged with traditional criminal offenses.  We routinely handle drug conspiracy cases, property crimes, and violent offenses.  We have extensive first chair trial experience before juries and judges in criminal cases.  Click the link above for more details on our felony practice.

    Criminal Defense -Misdemeanors

Misdemeanors are crimes punishable by up to one year in jail.  Although the penalties for misdemeanors are less severe than those for felonies, misdemeanor convictions can have serious ramifications on your life, reputation, and career.  For this reason, our lawyers represent clients facing misdemeanor charges with the same creativity and vigor as they would if the client were facing a serious felony charge.  Click above for more details on our misdemeanor practice.

    Appellate and Post Conviction

We represent clients in criminal appeals in the Virginia state courts and federal courts throughout the country. We have experience in the Virginia Court of Appeals and Supreme Court of Virginia as well as the Fourth, Tenth, and Eleventh Circuit Courts of Appeal.

    Civil Litigation

In addition to our criminal practice, we have significant civil litigation practice in the following areas: general civil litigation, contract disputes, employment, non-compete agreements, theft of trade secrets, computer law, arbitration, security clearance law and defense of civil commitment cases.

    Security Clearance Denials or Revocations

We represent clients who face security clearance denials or revocations at administrative hearings and appeals.  Because criminal prosecutions carry negative implications for a person’s security clearance, we developed an expertise in this area in order to more effectively represent those clients who hold, or may need, a security clearance.  For more information on this area of the law, please click here to see a copy of our publication.
